PPF (Professional Pickleball Federation) and USAPA

PPF and USAPA Poised to Offer New Opportunities for the Sport’s Top Players
USA Pickleball Association has agreed to a partnership with the newly formed Professional Pickleball Federation (PPF). The PPF is a new pickleball association designed to provide expanded playing opportunities for pickleball’s top players. PPF is actively pursuing major sponsors who can support what will eventually be a pickleball “pro tour”beginning in 2017.
As news of the PPF organization emerges, USAPA officials are in the process of communicating details of
the partnership with all 4.5 and 5.0 rated players along with the association’s ambassador corps and general
membership. As USAPA continues the effort to expand the sport among all ages and skill levels, USAPA is
looking forward to working with PPF to advance the opportunities for top players For more information about PPF, visit the website: www.pbfederation.com

International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA)

International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) is the world leader in developing teaching standards in the sport of Pickleball.

When an instructor meets those standards they are awarded certification.

The International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) certify and set the standard for teaching excellence in the sport. Pickleball is exploding not only in the United States but globally as well. We felt it was important that those players who were seeking instruction would have comfort in knowing their instructor had met some level of minimum standards.
All too often we find tennis coaches giving pickleball lessons by simply teaching tennis with a paddle. There are too many people exploiting the popularity of pickleball by providing lessons but are unfamiliar with the rules of the game, basic stroke development, shot selection and strategies specific to pickleball. One of the reasons for creating a not-for-profit organization was guaranteeing that those players who are willing to pay for instruction are being taught by an instructor who has gone through a rigorous four-part testing program meeting minimum competency levels. We currently provide liability insurance for them and medical insurance for their students.
In order to maintain IPTPA certification status, members must earn two continuing education units (CEUs) per year. These can be earned by attending online and live workshops provided by the association
or by submitting articles or videos of instruction that are accepted and published on the association’s website. For those of you interested in pursuing a coaching career in pickleball, please visit our website, http://www.iptpa.com
